I look forward to sharing our story with you, explaining our tokenized strategy to unbundle Netflix and all the streaming platforms, and to share ownership with artists and their communities in ways only possible in web3. I, Curtis, along with a small team of ex-Twitch and ex-Google engineers are seeking to find artists to partner with, to flip Hollywood on its head and change the world for good, in a way that only a startup can.
As disrupted as taxis were by Uber and hotels were by Airbnb, so too will streaming be disrupted by a tokenized platform of individual Channels, where artists distribute their shows directly to their own audiences.

For all of 2021, we have been in stealth mode building the features necessary for a new unbundled streaming platform, on which the artists and communities that add value to the platform will be able to build tokenized ownership in the platform itself.
Our goal is to help Artists unbundle the streaming platforms.
We are looking for artists in Hollywood who want to disrupt the industry by distributing their own shows and movies directly to their own audience.
We are also looking for investors who are well connected to artists in Hollywood, and who can help us navigate these waters as we attempt to disrupt the sleeping giants (Netflix, HBOMax, Disney+, Apple TV+, etc).
These large incumbents are unable to respond to the consumer market's latest desire to "stop subscribing to all these new platforms." They likely already know that customers don't actually want to "subscribe to another platform", but they face The Innovator's Dilemma, knowing the only way to satisfy consumers' desires will have detrimental effects on their own businesses. They can't, much like Kodak who made photographic film, could not sell a digital camera they invented.
This is "The Innovator's Dilemma".
The largest streaming platforms likely already know what subscription fatigue is. They likely already know that consumers do not actually want to subscribe to more streaming apps. They likely also know that artists want to share in the upside of the success they bring to platforms by sharing their content there. But giving consumers and artists what they want by unbundling themselves and distributing their ownership, allowing consumers to pick and choose what they want, while giving artists their own audiences and ownership, would cannibalize their own business.
Instead we are going to do it for them, by giving the power directly to the Artists to self-distribute their content to their own global audiences and build ownership in the platform, through tokenization.
It is time for the streaming war to be disrupted, for the Artists to move into a position of power, and for us all to help the artists unbundle the streaming platforms.
Channels provides a beautiful, lightweight way for artists to share a passion project with their audience.
Each channel can be accessed with either a monthly subscription or an associated NFT.
At this time, on the real Channels.org site, we do not provide a central directory of channels. The only ways to hear about individual channels are directly from the artists or by word of mouth. Eventually, a gallery may prove beneficial, but first we are offering an artist-first great experience to connect an artist's already existing audience to their channel.
Each channel costs $1.29 per month. Start and stop any channel at any time.
Some channels can be accessed with the ownership of a corresponding NFT. There will be a “Connect wallet” button on channels with this availability.
When there is new content published to one of your channels, you will receive a Text Message, a WhatsApp Message, or Email. Which you receive depends on the contact method you used when signing up for an account.
